Michelle Sorensen

Michelle Sorensen, Psychological Associate

Michelle Sorensen treats a variety of presenting issues using a cognitive behavioural approach to therapy. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) requires the therapist and client to examine the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Michelle uses a non-judgmental and collaborative approach to help people explore the beliefs, assumptions and automatic thoughts driving their emotions. She believes that people can change the way they think and therefore create powerful change in their emotions and behaviour. CBT can be used for short- and long-term therapy, but the number of sessions varies, depending on the problems and goals of the client.
